This troupe of strolling players can recreate the spirit of Merrie England. In mediaeval costume, and playing acoustic period instruments, they form an ideal act for parades and open air events during festivals and civic occasions. Moving about, they evoke the sounds and sights of bygone eras, be they Viking, Saxon or the Middle Ages.
Brash and colourful, this is an exciting and fun-filled show which would have lightened up the Dark Ages.

If you want a really crazy and different feature act, here we have it. The accordion playing clown will stroll around, brightening up your event. Having performed publicly since childhood (some say he is still there!), this hugely experienced performer brings musical energy and vitality to any occasion.
From French cafe to German Bierkeller; from Irish ceilidh to Hillbilly hoedown: his versatility will amaze you. This accordion act is particularly well suited to outdoor events or larger indoor venues, where it can cut through background sounds with clarity. This is an excellent, self-contained act which, we know from experience is a real crowd-pleaser.
This is a turn that rates about 110% on the 'Aaah' factor scale. The response of children and adults alike to this tiny Shetland pony has to be seen to be appreciated. Harnessed to an appropriately scaled pony trap, which is gaily painted in a gipsy/canal boat style, he brings a warm glow to the eyes and hearts of those present.
The trap can be utilised either for children's rides with an attendant, or as a really eye-catching platform for commercial exhibits.
As I write this review, on St. Valentine's Day, the very thought of this act brings a smile to my face. Surely the strolling gypsy violinist is the embodiment of romantic music. This solo acoustic act, in full costume, is just the one to create the ideal setting for romance. He is a most accomplished player and is experienced in the East European repertoire and in working the tables with tact and consideration. This is a most economical way to create the mood for just such an occasion.

With the vast array of fine quality castles in and around the region, it has become popular in recent years to add some medieval splendour to the wedding proceedings, by including a Bird of Prey Demonstration. This could fall at two possible places in the day, which could be pre-wedding breakfast or in the summer months only, after the meal and before the evenings Entertainment. Quite often, venues need a little time to prepare the room for the evening reception and some light Entertainment for the guests can be an excellent way of passing that hour.
These presentations are combined with a static display consisting of eagles, hawks, falcons and owls. The main demonstration would last 30-45 minutes and would be enhanced with music, medieval costumes and a commentary to build the excitement and expectation. Guests can interact at close quarters with the birds and quite often have become part of the show!
If your event has a Victorian or Edwardian theme we have just the act to enhance the atmosphere. This is just the type of performer you might have seen in rural villages or great industrial cities at the zenith of the British Empire. Playing a variety of traditional instruments from the Borders and Northumbrian region, the artist accompanies a dancing puppet. He has done a lot of work in education and has full CRB clearance to work with children. In period costume, he can also offer photo opportunities featuring a regional, "crackett" stool.
Here we have a solo act that will grab the attention of kiddies and adults alike. This fellow has a background both in historical re-enactment and in playing fascinating and traditional acoustic instruments. Furthermore is experienced in educational work with adults and children and is CRB cleared.
Dressed in character (Viking or Saxon), he performs on a range of period instruments. The performance is also interactive, including "hands on" activities and question and answer sessions. It can be delivered either as a static piece, from a rustic mediaeval chair, or on the move as a strolling performer. Either way, he will give atmosphere to any event with a historical or village fayre feel to it
Equipped with sword, lance and "steel bonnet" the Reivers held sway over the Border Marches for generations. This display shows the skills that made the Border Reivers renowned as the finest light horsemen in Western Europe.
