This duo is a violin (Suzy Watts) and guitar (Jon Gordon). Both are professional musicians performing a wide variety of musical styles. Classical favourites, Latin melodies, Celtic airs, country hoe downs, sacred music and popular tunes all form part of their vast repertoire. With suitable advance notice ‘favourite tunes’ can be arranged for the occasion.
Past examples have included Bizet’s ‘Habanera’ (from Carmen), ‘Ave Maria’, ‘West Side Story’ medley, ‘Duellin’ Banjos’, and their much requested arrangement of ‘Stairway to Heaven’.
An ideal choice for smaller venues where they can provide their own high quality, yet compact amplification. For bigger events they can supply a full PA system.

This act was founded in 2000 by pianist and composer Simon Keegan-Phipps. Since then it has changed in size (and shape!) to become one of the most respected function jazz bands in the North East. The accordion and violin together define the sound of the Scottish, melodic heritage. This is a "box and fiddle" duo bursting with talent, experience and personality. The fiddler has performed at the highest level internationally, and he plays with a great feel and lightness of touch. The accordionist is not just a fine player but comes from, and plays for, a family of highland dance teachers. Possibly the most unique, innovative and eye catching act the company has to offer, the 'Puppet Master' is a hybrid of a number of different genres of music, dance and performance. It can be used extremely effectively as a pre-dinner drinks spectacle or for other corporate situations where something spectacular is required. Typically, the musicians would play as a normal background act and provide tasteful ambient music, but your guests will be amazed when the Puppet Master and Ballerina emerges from the opposite side of the room, steadily working their way through the thrilled onlookers towards the musicians. The Puppet Master, Ballerina and Musicians eventually unite and whilst the Ballerina moves to the music, she will occasionally freeze like a human statue locked temporarily in an emotion until the music stimulates her to move once more. Some of the actions are designed to interact with the audience. For instance, in the final minutes of the performance just as guests are about to depart for their food, the Ballerina will bid them farewell with emotional heartfelt waves.
This act offers another dimension to just background music and can also be used as a themed act. The Ballerina could be replaced by a pixie, a sailor, a rag doll or anything else you may think of. More recently the background music has been adapted with three matching musical clowns (Violin, Double Bass and Accordion) wearing the same costumes as the puppet master.
